"Canuck Cantatas” won the award for Best New Opera at the Dora Mava Moore Awards last month!! For this compelling new Canadian production by Against the Grain Theatre, Sarah and renowned librettist Royce Vavrek collaborated on the “Kimberley Dunbar Suite”, a five-movement chamber opera about a suburban mother's descent into radical ideology.  Famed Indigenous soprano Emma Pennell wrote the libretto for a poignant and starkly beautiful new work with composer Spencer Kryzanoski, and equally sumptuous soprano Danika Loren composed an innovative and quirky new work with librettist Vern Thiessen.
